A NEW survey satisfaction system is being launched by Thames Valley Police (TVP) in an effort to improve the service.

As of May 1, the force will be sending out text messages to around 10,000 residents who have contacted them to report an incident.

The feedback is being gathered from the public in order to better understand the effectiveness of response.

Deputy Chief Constable Jason Hogg, said: “Last year the force received more than 1.2 million calls for service.

“When people contact us we want to provide a caring, effective, and swift response and when things are at their most difficult for those we serve, we will strive to be at our very best.

“In light of this we are launching a new survey in order to understand the areas we need to improve upon and the public response will be hugely valuable to shape the service we provide.

“The survey is entirely voluntary but we would ask the public to take part if they receive a text from us as it will help us to ensure Thames Valley Police provides the service that you want from us.”

People who have contacted TVP, may be sent a text message to their mobile phone asking them to fill in a short text survey of just two questions.
