BAKING enthusiasts are being asked to roll up their sleeves and take part in the Barnado’s Big Bake.
The children’s charity is asking people across Berkshire to bake or buy Easter treats to sell and raise money for vulnerable children, young people and families who they support.
Gemma Cornwell, Head of Public Fundraising at Barnardo’s, said: “Easter is a great time for getting together with family and friends and enjoying sweet treats like cakes and chocolate.
"It’s a perfect opportunity to combine a get together with raising much-needed money to support vulnerable children who live locally.
“We’re extremely grateful to everyone who takes part, either by baking or helping to eat the cakes! On behalf of the children we work with, we would like to say a big thank you.”
The charity has a booklet to inspire bakers, which includes recipe suggestions and ideas, for more information, visit: barnardos.org.uk/campaigns/big-bake.
