COMMUNITY police officers ran a competition for students to create road safety signs, to make it safer outside the school.
Winkfield St Mary's Primary School in Bracknell, teamed up with Thames Valley Police Community Support Officers to improve safety whilst children are travelling to school.
Julia Evans, headteacher at Winkfield St Mary's, said: "We are delighted to work together with the local community to improve safety outside our school.
As with any school, the morning drop off and collection can be fraught with danger, especially at the side of a narrow lane."
Pupils created bold and colourful designs on placards so motorists can see speed restrictions better while driving.
The aim is to improve traffic calming measures, as parking outside the school can become heavily congested during peak school times.
Julia added: "The Road safety competition run by our local PCSOs has given the children a voice and we dearly hope that the parents and other road users will take note of the message that the children are sending."
