VOLUNTEERS were praised for their efforts in giving back to the community with a free lunch to appreciate their work.
Bracknell Library hosted the event on Thursday, April 4 to show their 'appreciation' to their volunteers.
During the buffet, Fiona Atkinson, library services manager and Sharon Pickles, went around the tables to speak with the volunteers about why they give up their valuable time.
One volunteer, said: "As a Home Library service volunteer, it is the satisfaction of choosing books for a housebound lady and taking them to her every month."
Another added: "Giving back to the community, meeting old friends and making new ones. Very satisfying helping people find what they want in the library."
Bracknell Library is encouraging people to sing up to become a volunteer.
