A STUDENT from a school in Wokingham has appeared on BBC Radio Berkshire after raising money to go on a trip to America.

Harry McBain, who studies at the Emmbrook school got the opportunity to chat to the drive time host Phil Kennedy.

Harry is a member of Unit 62 at The Berkshire Blue Bears and has been busy raising money to go on a journey to the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia.

Harry said: “The Radio studio was very busy as news came in about Theresa May’s possible resignation, with news reporters dashing between the news room and the studio to give updates.

"During my interview, I was able to share my itinerary, some of the activities I will be taking part in as well as having the opportunity to meet other young people from across the world."
