SMOKE is quickly spreading across Wildmoor Heath, after fire crews received multiple calls to a fire.
Four fire crews from Bracknell , Crowthorne, Ascot and Wokingham are currently trying to tackle the fire near Crowthorne.
Around 10 loud explosions were heard from the fire, caused from the smoke coming into contact with the electricity pylons.
Three fire officers are also on the scene and expect the fire to carry on for 'a couple more hours' before it is put down and deemed safe.
LLoyd Palmer, duty officer for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "At approximately 3.30pm we received a call to Wildmoor Heath.
"The fire is small now and has died down but it was beneath the electricity pylons which carry quite a high voltage at its height.
"We are waiting for electrical authorities to arrive in order for the area to be deemed safe, due to flashdowns [where electricity comes into contact with smoke] which means the fire has potential to get bigger."
The exact cause of the fire is unknown.
Thames Valley Police are also at the scene with fire crews.
Road closures are currently in place to keep the public safe.
Mark Yates, a resident, said: "I heart about 2 explosions between 3 and 4pm. There were 10 in total.
"Flames were leaping 10 meters into the sky."
Thames Valley Police said on twitter:
