A NEW forest themed animal enclosure launched at The Look Out Discovery Centre in Bracknell last month, which allows visitors to learn about a wide range of animals and insects.

The new exhibit invites the public to come and experience the creepy crawlies for themselves.

The forest themed enclosure is full of a range of wild insects, amphibians and reptiles.

The animals who are homed their include cockroaches, giant millipedes, African land snails, a corn snack, a marine toad, giant prickly stick insects and black beauty stick insects.

Councillor Iain McCracken, executive member for culture, delivery and public protection, said: "I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the new animal enclosure.

“The Look Out Discovery Centre is, as always, extremely popular, attracting visitors from all over.

“The introduction of the new animal enclosure is yet another exciting way that children of all ages can come and enjoy learning.”

Victors will also be able to find the old leafcutter on display, which has been re-homed into the new space.

The exhibit is also labelled with facts about the creatures so that residents can see what they are and also have the chance to learn about each one.

Later in the year there will be an opportunity to meet and handle the insects and animals.
