Officers are currently at the scene of an incident in George Street following a report that a man sustained injuries.
Thames Valley Police received a call shortly before 9am today (March 25) to a report that a man had been located injured in a property.
Residents in the area may notice an increased police presence while officers work to establish the circumstances.
A police spokeswoman said: "The man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital by ambulance.
"Early indications are the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"A cordon is in place in George Street while officers are in attendance.
"Anyone with any concerns, or who has information about the incident, should contact the 24-hour non-emergency number on 101 quoting the reference URN 237 25/3."
