BUSINESS is expected to get better for traders this week as Bracknell Market introduces another day of trading on its calendar.

The market, outside Princess Square in Bracknell Town, will now start trading on Tuesday's - proving demand for fresh produce is getting even higher.

Bracknell Forest Council (BFC) held a planning meeting on March 21, where permission was granted for Bracknell Market to trade for an extra day.

Councillor Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, said: “I am really pleased that Bracknell Market has been so well received by the community since moving to outside on Princess Square.

“It offers a selection of fresh produce and food outlets to complement the shops and restaurants within The Lexicon and so I’m pleased the diversity it brings will now be available on Tuesdays as well as Fridays and Saturdays."

Traders have proven that business is doing well since the market, run by Hughmark on behalf of BFC, launched outside Princess Square in September 2017.

A variety of street food, fresh meat, fruit and vegetables will be available offering something different to the regular cafes and restaurants on offer in The Lexicon.

Lew Hughes from Hughmark, said: “We are looking forward bringing a Tuesday market to Bracknell.

"We do give priority to local traders and will welcome any new food stallholders.

"Please see the Bracknell Market Facebook page for more information.”

Cllr Brunel-Walker added: "If you have not visited it then please do pop along and see what it has to offer."
