A CARE home in Wokingham has received top marks in a nationwide survey for residents, which captures the views of participants across 20 care home providers.

The Your Care Rating survey revealed that 95 per cent of residents from the Lord Harris Court care home in Sindlesham are satisfied with the overall standard of care they receive while staying in the home.

A total of 98 per cent of residents also said that staff treat them with kindness, dignity and respect while 100 per cent said the home is a safe and secure place to stay and that they they can have visitors whenever they want.

The care home believe that the survey provides good feedback.

Steve Stace, home manager at Lord Harris Court, said: “The survey results provide us with invaluable feedback.

“We’re constantly seeking new ways of providing excellent care for our residents and the best possible service to their loved ones.

The survey is the UK’s largest survey for care home residents, families and their friends and is designed to capture the views of over 18,000 participants.

The idea behind it is to give residents a voice by giving their views through the survey and to help care providers know the areas they can improve on.

Mr Stace, added: “Their insight helps us to tailor our support to meet our residents’ individual needs and we’re proud to have received such positive feedback.”
