A VIOLENT man has been convicted for repeatedly punching a 20 year-old, leaving fractures to his face.
Bujur Ibishi was found guilty of one count of Grevious Bodily Harm at Reading Crown Court on March 8.
The 27-year-old from Twickenham assaulted a man in Ascot High Street in January 2018 at around 2.55am.
The victim suffered fractures to his face after his attacker punched him repeatedly.
A brave woman used her body to shield the victim from the man against further attacks.
Thames Valley Police officers then arrested Ibishi after doormen detained him outside the nightclub.
Shemsedin Ibishi, from Richmond was also charged with one count of assault with injurty but was found not guilty and has been acquitted.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Chris Jamieson, of area CID based at Maidenhead police station, said: “This unprovoked assault was part of a disturbing and cowardly attack on an innocent member of the public.”
“I’m grateful for support from the witnesses, who bravely attended court to give evidence.
“I hope this shows the police will continue to pursue offenders and bring them to justice.”
Ibishi will be sentenced on April 17 at Reading Crown Court.
