THE WOKINGHAM Winter Carnival has presented cheques to support local charities.
The three cheques were each worth £2500 and were presented from money raised through last year’s Winter Carnival.
Philip Mirfin, committee chair for Wokingham Winter Carnival, said: ‘I am delighted that we have been able to support these really important local charities.”
The charities included Younger People With Dementia, Me2 Club, Wokingham Food Bank and The Link Visiting Scheme.
Mr Mirfin added: “We had a very successful and well attended Winter Carnival last year and seeing the local community having a fun day out and the local charities benefitting is why we all get involved.”
The committee is now considering which charities they will support this year. For more information visit the Winter Carnival Facebook Page.
