A CHARITY providing expert care for people with life-limiting conditions received a special visit last Tuesday (February 19).

Wokingham Mayor Councillor John Kaiser, visited the Sue Ryder Wokingham Day Hospice to meet patients, staff and volunteers.

Abi Hurst, community fundraiser at Sue Ryder, said: " We were honoured to have Cllr John Kaiser visit Sue Ryder Wokingham Day Hospice last week to meet with patients, staff and volunteers.

"Our day hospice touches the lives of so many people in Berkshire each year, providing expert care and support for people across the county who are living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families.

The Wokingham Day Hospice provides specialist services in day therapy or at home.

A team of healthcare professionals and trained volunteers provide these services and aim to support people with life-limiting conditions and families who are affected by it.

Abi added: "It was wonderful to have such a prominent local figure visit and see first-hand the work of the team and volunteers and its huge impact on patients and the local community."
