WINDOW and door specialists who started from humble beginnings have celebrated 25 years of business.

The Sash Window Workshop was established by Richard Dollar in February 1994, initially operating from a small converted pig shed in Ascot.

To mark the anniversary, the company invited long-standing employees to a private event in London, attended by Bracknell MP, Dr Phillip Lee.

The company now operates from two workshops in Bracknell and is turning over around £6.5 million every year.

Mr Dollar, founder and managing director, admitted that the growth of the company has not always been easy.

He said: “Twenty-five years have flown by; it’s been an interesting journey.

"Starting from nothing with a hand to mouth existence – through many ups and downs – to a very successful 2018 fitting and repairing £6.5 million of bespoke windows and doors.

“We are very proud of our success, which is based on giving our clients an exceptional product; backed up with excellent customer service, all delivered by an outstanding team that has grown from two to 82 people.

"We look forward to continuing the journey over the next 25 years.”

The company provides a range of bespoke timber window and door services, from complete replacement to draught proofing and overhaul.

Loyal and dedicated staff, many of whom have served with the company for much of its 25 years, provide the backbone of the business.

Today, the majority of the company’s enquiries and orders come from previous customers and recommendations.

With such successful growth over the last 25 years, The Sash Window Workshop is looking forward to more success over the next 25 years.

The workshop specialises in the manufacture, installation and repair of traditional timber windows and doors in period properties across London and the south.

The company aims to be the industry leader by providing the highest quality timber windows and doors and developing products to industry leading standards.
