A DETERMINED schoolgirl helped to organise a community litter picking session.
More than 20 volunteers, including seven pupils from Crown Wood Primary School, gathered for the collection.
The idea was born out of Hayley Turner's disgust when she would walk to school and see rubbish scattered everywhere.
She wanted to make a difference and with the help of her mother Danielle, the group collected 22 bags of rubbish.
Danielle said: "As a group, we covered all around the school, the play park behind, wooded areas, around the shops, the pathways to the subway at nettlecombe and the pathway up towards Nuneaton.
"I for one am so proud of the children and their parents for their dedication and hard work."
