THE DAVID Lloyd Royal Berkshire gym in Bracknell will be receiving new facilities, which will be part of a £3.9m investment programme.

The luxury gym, which is in Nine Mile Ride will receive a new indoor and outdoor spa and a new outdoor swimming pool as part of the investment.

The investment programme is designed to help position the gym as one of the country’s leading health, spa and fitness clubs.

Mike Whitehouse, general manager at The David Lloyd Royal Berkshire, said: “Work is well under way and members will be thrilled with the changes to the club – we are introducing something new to excite everyone, from morning swimmers, workers who want a flexible daytime cycle class, to high-tech fitness enthusiasts. “

Part of the project will see the creation of a cycling studio, a mind and body studio and a pilates studio. One of David Lloyd Clubs’ most popular HIIT class called Blaze will also be launching at the gym, which combines cardio training with strength and combat.

Mr Whitehouse added: “Blaze is one of the first new features to be launched and has created a lot of excitement in club. We are really looking forward to summer with the outdoor pool and spa being the perfect destination for local residents to spend their leisure time.”

The facility reopened in the town in 2017 after a previous transformation, the refurbishment took place at the same time as Coral Reef.

Mr Whitehouse said: “This significant investment ensures that David Lloyd Clubs’ continue to offer its members the very best premium health club facilities in Berkshire.”
