TWO public consultation meetings will be held during February to look at the draft pre-application planning proposals for the next stage of the Gorse Ride Estate regeneration.
The drop-in sessions will be held on Saturday, February 9 and Friday, February 15 at St Mary’s and St John’s Parish Centre in Finchamstead, Wokingham.
The sessions will give residents the chance to ask questions and give their feedback on the proposed plan.
Parry Batth, executive member for adult social care, health and wellbeing, said: “This is your chance to really shape them to make sure we’re on the right track.
"We’ll then update them and come back with them again in April to see if there are any minor amends needed before they’re submitted as a planning application.”
Wokingham Borough Council want to replace the old homes on the estate with modern ones.
The first phase of this project has already started, and the former Cockayne Court Care Home and surrounding properties have been demolished.
The second part of the regeneration is set to include building 256 new homes.
The regeneration is expected to create 80 additional new homes on the housing register.
