AN ELDERLY shopper returned home to find that her purse had been stolen from her bag.

The victim, an 81-year-old woman, visited the Tesco supermarket on Finchampstead Road, Wokingham on December 15 at around 11.30am.

She discovered her purse had gone missing from her handbag and when she contacted her bank, they said cash had been taken using her bankcards.

A police investigation is underway and investigating officers have released a CCTV image of two people they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

Police constable Philip Davies, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I am keen to speak to the people in this CCTV image, as they may have information which is vital to our investigation.
