A MISSING dog has been reunited with her owner after a social media appeal was put out to get the dog found.

The female German Shepherd was brought to the 24 hour vets following the discovery in Forest Park yesterday January 17.

She didn't have a microchip or a tag on her collar so it was difficult to get her found by the rightful owner.

Natalie, who discovered the missing dog, said: "She was running in the road last night by our house with no lead or anyone around. She was a bit restless at first but settled down after a while.

"As dog lovers, we took her in our house and found out who to contact and took her to the 24 hour vets."

After posting on facebook a picture of the dog, users quickly shared it to their friends and the owner has come forward.

The Bracknell woman added: "I personally feel all dogs should have microchips for this exact reason. It is a legal requirement now for dogs to be microchipped from eight weeks old.

Under the new microchipping law that came into effect on 6 April 2016, all dogs and puppies must be microchipped and registered by the age of eight weeks.
