RUNNERS in Bracknell are urged to prepare for the annual Bracknell Half Marathon, which will take place at The Lexicon for the second year in a row.

The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, May 12 and over 1,000 runners are expected to participate on the day.

The event will be organised by the sports and leisure management company Everyone Active.

Mark Tennant, Everyone Active Contract Manager, said: “It offers an ideal opportunity for people to test themselves in a welcoming environment.

“Not only do we want to see people tying up their laces and getting active across the 13-mile course but also for local people to mark the route and cheer on our runners on what will definitely be a great day out.”

The Bracknell Half Marathon will be marking its 35th year and will be sponsored by The Lexicon for the second year running.

Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon added: “We are absolutely delighted to be hosting The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon for the second year.

“Last year’s event, the first in our new town centre, saw the finish line in Braccan Walk which brought an incredible atmosphere enjoyed by customers and retailers alike.”
