A CHIEF executive officer of a marketing company in Wokingham has been appointed to work with the Skills, Education and Employment Strategy Group.

Chris Sykes, the CEO of the digital marketing agency Volume, which is based in Wokngham will be working with the Thames Valley Berkshire SEE (Skills, Education and Employment Strategy Group).

The SEE is responsible for providing and developing a well-motivated workforce with the skills that businesses need.

Chris Sykes CEO of Volume said: “We need a clear set of strategies that Thames Valley-based companies, not just in tech, can buy in to and encourage their investment in programs and initiatives that position Berkshire as a hot spot for future and emerging technologies.”

Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership who drive local economic growth, in their latest 2018 Skills Priority Statement identified key areas that should be prioritised in order to grow the economy.

Chris added: “The sub region still has some work to do to on its positioning and the perception of Berkshire as a destination area for talent and international business.

“I look forward to working with the SEE Group in achieving the best we can for Thames Valley Berkshire.”
