THE LEADING Autism charity in Berkshire will be offering free workshops to parents and carers of Autistic children who live in the Wokingham Borough.

The Autism Berkshire group will be offering free workshops from January this year for both parents and carers of autistic children.

The Berkshire based charity is run by parents of children who have Autism and other challenging behaviours.

Jane Stanford-Beale Autism Berkshire’s chief executive officer said: “I would advise parents to register straight away.

“That way they won’t miss out on the valuable information they offer and the opportunity to meet other parents and share experiences.”

The sessions will teach attendees about the different aspects of Autism and how to provide the best support to their autistic children.

Jane added: “Places were in high demand when we ran these workshops in Wokingham for the first time during the autumn.”

The workshops are also suitable for parents and carers of children who are on the Berkshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service NHS waiting list for an Autism assessment.

The educational sessions will be held at St Paul’s Church on Reading Road, Wokingham on Friday, January, 18, Friday February, 8 and Friday March, 8.

All the materials used by the charity will be provided by the National Autistic Society, for more information visit http://www.autismberkshire.org.uk/workshops-parents-carers/.
