SUE Ryder is launching a fundraising campaign encouraging people to organise their own winter walks to raise money for local Hospices.

The new fundraising campaign Winter Walks asks family and friends to get together and plan their own walks this winter.

Sue Ryder will be collecting money from the walks and donating it to their local Hospices, which support people living with terminal illnesses.

Abi Hurst community fundraiser for Sue Ryder said: "Winter Walks is a wonderful opportunity to raise money whilst spending time with your family in nature."

The money can be raised through sponsors, participants can be charged to enter or through holding a fundraising celebration after the event.

Abi added: “I really can't think of a lovelier way to spend a few hours.”

The Wokingham Hospital, where one of the Sue Ryder Hospices is located held the Sue Ryder Christmas fair back in November, which raised a total of £1,490.
