A CHOIR have performed at the Sue Ryder Day Hospice and presented them with money raised from a Christmas concert.

Members of the school Chamber Choir from St Crispin's School in Wokingham performed at Wokingham Day Hopsice on Tuesday, December 11.

Megan Smith, member of the Chamber Choir said: “'for some people who find it difficult to get out and see live music, it was really nice for us to be able to take our performance to share the festivities with them.

“You could really see how much it meant when it brought joyful smiles to their faces or even tears to their eyes as they were overwhelmed with emotion.”

The visit to the Hospice provided the choir with the opportunity to present them with a £150 cheque. The money was raised from the school’s Christmas concert on Wednesday, December 5.

Megan added: “We also felt really proud when our teacher told them about the donation, we would be making to the Hospice that could help make a real difference to the support that they get.”

The students were able to see the impact their hard work has on people who can’t get out to watch live music.
