POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault of a man who was hit on the head with a spanner.
The incident happened at around 1.30am on Saturday, December 1 when a fight broke out between three men on Wellington Road, Wokingham.
The victim, a man in his twenties, got out the car and attempted to break-up the fight when he was attacked by the three men.
The man in his twenties was hit on the head with a spanner, as he drove away the offenders kicked his car.
Investigating officer PC Rachel Pithers, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have information about this incident to get in touch.
“I would especially like to hear from anyone with dash-cam footage in the area at the time of the assault.
“If you saw what happened or have details about this incident, please contact police.”
The victim did not need hospital treatment but sustained four lumps on the back of his head.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault on the day of the incident and was then released under investigation.
