AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a man was assaulted and found unconscious near a car park.

The victim, 29, was attacked by two men on Denmark Street in Wokingham at around 12.30am on December 1.

He was rushed to hospital having suffered a head injury, but has since been discharged.

Officers would like to hear from anyone with more information about this incident of grievous bodily harm.

Police constable Elizabeth McDowell, of Newbury police station, said: “Officers are working to establish the circumstances of this serious assault which left the victim unconscious.

“I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, who has not already spoken to police.

"If you have any information which could assist our enquiries, please come forward.”

Both of the offenders are believed to be white men in their 20s and one of the men was wearing a white hooded-top.

One had blonde hair and the other man was of a stocky build with darker hair.
