RUNNERS in Wokingham have been taking part in festivities by dressing up as they run.

A local charity, the Wokingham Lions Club have organised the first ever Wokingham Festive Dash, runners who took part in the route on Saturday, November 25 completed a 1.5km challenge.

Participants were encouraged to dress up in anything festive to take part in the Dash through Wokingham.

Lion Bob Westerman, event organiser of the Wokingham Festive Dash said: “This was the first festive Festive Dash organised by the Wokingham Lions Club. Whilst the number of entrants was lower than we were hoping for, the event was still a great success, with money being raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.”

The winners of the best dressed adult costumes, Sharon Mulhall and Kirsty Mulhall each won a three-month membership to Anytime Fitness Wokingham.
