A PEDESTRIAN was rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries after a driver failed to stop at the scene of the crash in Finchampstead.
The victim, a 49-year-old man, was hit while he was working on a communications box at the side of the road at around 1.15pm on October 29.
A white Ford Transit van was travelling on the A327 Reading Road, near the junction with New Mill Road and was involved in a collision with a Citroen Berlingo van and a Ford Mondeo car before hitting the pedestrian.
He sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.
Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage.
The drivers of the Citroen and Ford Mondeo required hospital treatment for minor injuries.
The occupants of the Ford Transit, three white men, then fled the scene on foot in the direction of New Mill Road, but the vehicle was left at the scene.
Police constable Jennifer Laurie, of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “The white Ford Transit van was seen before the collision travelling in Park Lane, Finchampstead.
"I would like to speak to anyone with CCTV in the area or who has dash-cam footage who could provide vital information to our ongoing investigation.”
