EXCITED children had the chance to interact with a range of animals when the zoo came into their classroom.

Pupils at Hawkedon Primary School took part in an interactive workshop and held onto all their favourite creatures.

The 90 children were able to hold, stroke and find out more about many species, including meerkats, scorpions, snakes and owls.

Nikki Gladwin-Stride, extended services manager, said: "The interactive workshops were educational, informative and fun and lasted just over an hour each.

"Ben, who led the sessions and who is also the owner of Spirit of the Wild UK, was loved by the children and we as a school cannot recommend him highly enough, we will certainly be booking him again in the near future."
