RACEGOERS had the chance to sample a wide selection of craft ales at Ascot Beet Festival.

The Autumn Racing Weekend saw thousands of people flock to Ascot Racecourse for the penultimate day of the flat racing season.

As well as more than 200 real ales and ciders, this year saw the introduction of a Gin Festival, offering more than 80 boutique gins from around the world.

On the track, Projection was the star of the show on Saturday as he landed the feature Group 3 John Guest Racing Bengough Stakes.

Ridden by Kieran Shoemark for Roger Charlton he scored for the Royal Ascot Racing Club by just a neck from Dream of Dreams in a thrilling finish.

If you missed out on the weekend’s racing, tickets are still available for the finale of the British Flat Season on Saturday, October 20.

Award-winning singer-songwriter Ella Eyre will bring Britain’s richest raceday to a close as they headline the official after party. Visit: www.ascot.co.uk for more information.
