FOUR men have been charged following an attempted burglary in Bracknell.

On Monday (3) at around 3am, two houses in Perry Oaks were targeted by men wearing balaclavas.

Thames Valley Police did not go into the details of the incident, but three of the men have been charged with kidnap and false imprisonment.

Christopher Paul Fitzgerald, aged 55, of Oldstead in Bracknell has been charged with attempted burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.

Scott Harris, aged 34, of Oldstead in Bracknell has been charged with attempted burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, kidnap and two counts of false imprisonment.

Fernando Anyere, aged 33, of no fixed abode, has been charged with attempted burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, kidnap and two counts of false imprisonment.

Joseph Cabut, aged 27, of no fixed abode, has been charged with attempted burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, kidnap, two counts of false imprisonment, and possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place.

They were charged on Wednesday (5) and appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on the same day.

All four have been remanded in custody and will appear at Reading Crown Court on October 8.
