COUNCILLORS will debate controversial proposals to erect houses with associated parking in an empty plot of land.
Furious residents signed a petition against the development, which was put to Bracknell Forest Council by Alvin Lindley of Mill Lodge Properties Ltd.
The proposals include plans for two three-bed homes with associated parking and gardens in an area of land on Prince Andrew Way, Ascot.
A petition against the plans was sent into the council, signed by 27 residents.
The petition states: "Access to Blackmoor Stream and Culvert in event of blockage and flooding would be compromised.
"Area has two large gas mains running under it.
"Excessive infill building in this area and overcrowding of infrastructure."
Bracknell Forest Council's planning committee will view the proposals on August 16.
Among the consultees, Highways, Environment Agency, Environmental Health and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, none found any objections.
