THE desperate owners of a missing cat from Winkfield have pledged a £1,000 reward for his safe return.

Bear, a nine-month-old Maine Coon kitten, was last seen on the evening on Sunday, August 12 at his home in Windsor Road, opposite the Loch Fyne restaurant.

Horrifically, the kitten's tail was found outside his home on Monday morning, and his owners Jenna and Rhys are now desperate for any information on his whereabouts.

They have even offered a £1,000 token of thanks for his safe return.

Bear is very friendly, but his owners believe he is in urgent need of a vet. He is microchipped.

Jenna said: "He was with us on Sunday evening and didn't come home for dinner, which is fairly normal as he brings home a rodent as a substitute a little later.

"We were immediately worried when he wasn't back for to wake us up for his 5am breakfast on Monday though, and that's when we started looking.

"We live about 100m back from Windsor Road and have never seen him go in the direction of the road but we looked all the same.

"We found his tail at about 7.30am, it was clean break rather than a degloving and there wasn't any blood or anything that resembled a car. It was also dry so had not been on the road overnight.

"We didn't find a body which you'd assume we would have if he was hit. We've had a dog walker saying he thinks he may have seen something but on investigation after walking his dog, there was nothing to investigate - whatever had been there had been taken.

"We have called the council, the forestry commission and Windsor Great Parks and no-one has seen Bear."

Anyone with any information or sightings of Bear is urged to call Jenna on 07425 079879 or Rhys on 07595 368628.
