WORKERS at a commercial park in Winnersh were treated to a visit by some four-legged friends during their lunch break last week.
Volunteers from Guide Dogs dropped in to Winnersh Triangle on Wednesday, July 11 with a few of their dogs-in-training to meet workers andthe Mayor of Wokingham, Cllr John Kaiser, who took a blindfolded walk with one of the dogs.
He said: "It made me realise how easy it is to take one’s sight for granted."
Katharine Westcar, head of marketing and communications at Winnersh Triangle said: “We are proud to have supported a valued occupier, Guide Dogs, with their fund-raising event."
It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the work of this charity and good to see so many of our occupiers meeting the talented dogs. We hope to make this event a regular addition to our events calendar at Winnersh Triangle.”
Engagement Officer at Guide Dogs, Clive Wood said: “The charity’s local team has been based at Winnersh Triangle for the last four years and we were really pleased to work with Winnersh Triangle to hold a Meet a Guide Dog event."
