PEACH PLACE’S regeneration is set to be complete by November as scaffolding starts to come down on the £12m project.
Twenty-two affordable houses and up to 18 shops will be ready almost two years after construction.
Cllr Philip Mirfin, the executive member for regeneration, said: “Our focus remains on improving the mix of businesses the town currently offers, especially the boutique and the independent style shops that will help Wokingham offer something completely different from larger neighbours like Reading and Bracknell.”
Cllr Mirfin would not comment on which companies would occupy the new stores, but said that an announcement would be made when the council is ready.
