THE TOWN Mayor celebrated the 45th anniversary of twinning with Leverkusen with a trip to the German city.

Bracknell Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham travelled to Leverkusen to meet Lord Mayor Uwe Richrath and Mayor Marewski.

The trip included a visit to the Leverkusen Water Tower, the Bayer Headquarters, Japanese Gardens and Neulandpark.

Cllr Ingham said: “The weekend was an action packed kaleidoscope of impressions and a chance to spend quality time with local German hosts who shared their homes with us.

“With Brexit approaching it is important to continue to forge good links with Germany through our local Twinning Association.”
