Kaya Sittampalam Main who is a year 11 student who competed in the Championship said, “It was a great experience. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to run in a World Championship. I’ve made friends from all over the world and it’s something I’ll never forget.”
The team stayed in Paris after their success and enjoyed a few days break in the city, taking part in walking tours across Paris, a Friendship Relay, a cultural day and a conference in Sorbonne University's Auditorium.
Upon arriving home, Sports leader at Charters organised a drinks reception to thank the organisations from around the area who had donated to allow the girls to travel to Paris and compete.
