THE RAILWAY line at Bracknell train station suffered an electrical problem this morning.
At 6.24am, the line started sparking, before it burst into flames.
Dylan Cameron, who witnessed the fire, explained that the fire started and ended quickly, and normal service didn't seem to be harmed.
He said: "(The fire was) probably going on for about 10-15 seconds before I managed to start filming. After it stopped some station staff were checking the site.
"Shortly after, trains seemed to come through as normal and the fire service were attending."
A South Western Railway statement stated: "Due to damage to the electric third rail at Bracknell all lines are blocked.
"Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised."
Full service is expected to continue at 1pm.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue service spokesman said: "At 6.26am on Monday, 26 February, Thames Valley Fire Control Service received a report of a fire on the railway track near Bracknell Train Station.
"A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Bracknell Fire Station were sent to the scene.
"After locating the incident, the crew established that it was an electrical fire on the track that was already out before they arrived. They spent approximately 20 minutes at the scene."
