CHILDREN and their grandparents shared an afternoon tea at Meadowbrook School's celebration of age event.
Held every year to coincide with Remembrance Sunday, on November 10 a selection of treats was laid out at the Warfield school.
Young and old were encouraged to chat to one another, with the pupils performing songs and specially written poetry.
Headteacher Serena Gunn said: "Each year, the children invite their grandparents into school to remind us all that they are in important part of our community.
"We remind the children that wisdom is what we gain through age and our experiences over time are the only way to get there.
"In a society where youth is so often celebrated, it is important to take time to celebrate the value of ageing and the irreplaceable value of older adults."
