GARDENERS of all ages came to the town hall to collect awards in front of hundreds of people.
The Wokingham in Bloom gardening awards evening was held on Monday October 2 in the town centre, and more than 100 people turned up to watch.
Gardeners of all ages were nominated, with categories including infant/junior school children, businesses, best site, newcomer, hanging baskets, gardens, public houses, as well as, for the first time, a care home category.
There were trophies, certificates and vouchers for the winners.
Town Mayor, Cllr Peter Lucey, was the host of the evening, and expressed his passion for gardening and his thanks to everyone for continuing their efforts.
Judging for the competition took place over the June to August period, with judgement sometimes being made during downpour of rain and hail.
AB Walker & Son sponsored the event.
