THE pupils of Meadowbrook braved the shadowy halls of their school for a 'Twilight Delight' sleepover last week.
Having been dropped back to the Warfield school post home-time, the midnight marauders ate supper before settling in to an evening of pizza, popcorn and marshmallows toasted around a bonfire - made as part of their special forest workshops in class.
The children helped to organise the event themselves, thinking up games and how to use the funds raised to contribute towards the transportation costs of their annual school trip.
"Settling down" for a good nights sleep
Headteacher Serena Gunn said: “We’ve been running these activities for some years and it’s amazing how much the children love to be here overnight.
"Ordinarily, you would think that most children have had enough of school by the end of the day but ours can't wait to come back - it’s a great testament to how comfortable they feel here and the close relationships we have forged together as a community."
