FLORENCE Nightingales' birthday was celebrated by 120 people at Ascot Priory on May 12.
In a service attended by the High Sherriff of Berkshire Sarah Scrope and Lord Mayor of Bracknell Tony Virgo, many retired nurses and caregivers enjoyed high tea.
After, they mingled with dignitaries, family, friends, staff and residents of St David’s, St Christopher’s and Ascot Priory Community and Lambrook School.

Ascot Prior has been running for 155 years and includes a care home branch, St David's, that has been rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted.
After the building was erected in 1862 it was staffed by Sisters of the Holy Trinity, who had worked alongside Florence Nightingale during the Crimean War.
