WITH the registration deadline fast approaching, the council are urging residents to make sure they have a valid ballot.
Wokingham Borough Council made the plea ahead of the registration deadline on May 22.
Now only four weeks out from a second General Election in two years and a year after the EU referendum, officials are keen to avoid a low-turnout due to voter burnout.
Wokingham Borough Council’s returning officer, Andrew Moulton, said: “Due to the short timescale of this snap general election I would urge anyone not yet registered to vote to do so as soon as possible.
"It only takes a few minutes to complete the form online and allows residents to be able to have their say on issues that affect their lives.”
