A MAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in a busy road in Bracknell yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Bagshot Road, near Market Street, at around 5.15pm on Friday, December 16 following reports of a collision.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) sent one emergency care response unit, a rapid response vehicle and a land ambulance.
"We were called at 5.10pm following reports a male had be hit by a car," a spokeswoman for SCAS said.
"We assessed and treated the male patient who sustained life threatening injuries. He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital by land ambulance."
Thames Valley Police closed the road following the incident and did not reopen until later in the evening.
Nobody else was injured and the police are yet to confirm if any arrests have been made.
