A WINNERSH motorcyclist has died after a collision with a tipper truck in Binfield yesterday.
Forest Road was closed yesterday afternoon after police and the air ambulance were called to the scene at around 4.15pm.
The man, in his twenties, was riding a grey BMW C1 motorbike and collided with a black Ford Transit tipper truck.
The Ford Transit driver escaped unharmed but the biker sustained serious injuries and died after being air lifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
His next of kin have been informed.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision which saw the road closed off between Hazlewood Lane and West End Lane.
Investigating officer PC Alan Turnbull of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We would ask anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to us to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
