A DRIVER had to be freed from their car last night after a head on collision in Priestwood.
The Smart car and Suzuki Swift hit into each other at around 9pm last night in Wokingham Road.
The driver of the Swift and a passenger in the Smart car were able to walk away from the incident but firefighters had to cut the roof off the smaller vehicle to free the trapped male driver.
He was then rushed to the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
The crash took place close to Bracknell Stores.
Firefighters using hydraulic equipment removed the roof of the Smart car to free the driver.
Watch manager Mike Fulwell from Bracknell Fire station, said: "We were called to a head on collision at around 9pm last night.
"It was between two cars and one person had to be extricated from the Smart car through the roof."
