AN ELDERLY woman had her bank card stolen after a stranger got into her car with a map asking for directions.
The victim was shopping on her own in the Finchampstead Road Tesco at 12.45 on Monday, August 3.
When she went to the tills a mystery woman stood over her shoulder watching her put her PIN into the card machine.
The elderly woman returned to her car and got into the driver's seat. A woman dove into the passenger seat with a map, distracting her victim by asking for directions.
When the woman with the map left the car the victim had lost her purse and bank card. The card was then used in locations across Berkshire and Essex.
