BOOKWORMS will benefit from better services when Binfield Library gets a 50,000 makeover.
The Benetfeld Road library, which opened in 1998, will close on March 2 for three weeks for the facelift.
Library supervisor Margaret Cox is looking forward to the refurbishment and is certain it will entice new customers.
She said: "Hopefully people will come along and see what's going on and we can welcome them and our regulars." Changes will include repainting walls and ceilings, new carpets and upholstery, a new customer counter and improved shelving within an open-plan layout.
Binfield Library will reopen on March 25 with its usual timetable of events.
On Saturday, a group of youngsters and crafty parents gathered in the building to celebrate Chinese New Year, creating fans and trying their hand at snakes and ladders - as this is the Year of the Snake.
The makeover at Binfield is the latest refurbishment of libraries by Bracknell Forest Council. Last month, Bracknell Central Library reopened after a 521,000 revamp.
