A plan to spend more than 23m on creating 300 extra primary school places in the next three years has been agreed by Wokingham Borough Council.
It will create an additional 150 places for September 2013 in the borough and a further 150 places by 2016.
These are in four 'hot-spot' areas - Wokingham; Winnersh; Charvil; and Shinfield/Spencers Wood.
Cllr Charlotte Haitham Taylor, executive member for children's services, said: "This council really does invest in schools. We have taken a very definitive approach and immediate action. This council does have a plan." For the full story, see the Bracknell and Wokingham Midweek, out now.
