KNIGHTS in armour do not usually stop in a town centre pub for a drink, but that's just what happened last week when a television series began filming.
Cult science fiction show, Primeval, filmed scenes in and around the Red Lion Pub, Denmark Street, Wokingham on Wednesday.
The pub was closed for the day as was the footpath alongside the pub and the pavements infront of the filming.
A small crowd of fans gathered to watch their TV idols in action as filming of the third series took place.
David Batham and family, who stopped their shopping trip just to watch, said: "It's brilliant, it's Primeval and we've seen every episode.
"We didn't know that they were filming in Wokingham, we just heard people talking about it while we were shopping and stopped by.
"We've seen a few of the actors go by but mainly they're filming down the alley and inside the pub." The third series is set to air in January next year.
